It could be true:

If I could drop dead right now, I’d be the happiest man alive. – Samuel Goldwyn

(aren’t Goldwynisms fun?)

word of the day

I posted this to the mailing list, but thought I’d post it here, as well.

Could “Harlan” be a synonym thereof? (not, of course, that Harlan could be described as “idyllic”, but it is out of touch…)

Brigadoon – An idyllic place that is out of touch with reality or one that makes its appearance for a brief period in a long time.

harlan tour ‘07

Am slowly adding pictures to my Harlan County Tour September 2007 album at Photobucket. Check it out! Oddly enough, this was the first time I’d ever been to the top of Big Black Mountain, and I could absolutely kick myself for not going long, long before now. Beautiful!! Make sure to check out the size of that rock I’m standing under in the one picture (that’s a nice boulder!;))

i molested billy tackett!

We had a terrific time at Apex Day at JosephBeth Booksellers yesterday. The readings were all packed, including people out in the fringes and standing around the balcony railings. I, personally, am very happy with the turn out! With everything! It was a great day! :D:D:D

I’m not happy with Jason Sizemore’s soul eating yet another digital camera (this makes two for me!)! :soapbox: So, I got no pictures of the event. If you were there and took pictures, please share! :D

Let’s see. I was made warm yet again by Judi Davidson, molested Billy Tackett, got warm hugs all around from a number of fine folks including Carrie Rapp, Gary Braunbeck, Michael West, Chris Hill, Douglas Warrick, Geoffrey Girard, Maurice Broaddus, Alethea Kontis, Debbie Kuhn, Melissa Gay, Kyle Thomas…Did I leave anyone out?? :lmao:
