poetry interlude

Scott

When you first looked
at me with those eyes
I felt I could love you forever

When you first touched
me with all that energy
and those hands
I knew I would love you forever

Long before we made love
I knew I was forever lost
Caught up so tight
I could never break free

And when it happened
I felt swept away
in a quiet storm
A sweeping tidewater
like the world has never known

A burst of emotion
with no equal

And to walk away
from it
I must be crazy …
But that’s the
world we live in …

But we’ll be a part
of each other always
Somethings are too beautiful
ever to forget
Somethings will always
be missed …
Somethings last forever …
