I’m a bit embarrassed to admit where I was and what I was doing at the time. But when I did get to my computer and saw a note someone had left on list – all it said was “OMG Turn on your TVs! The WTC is collapsing!” – I thought it was joke. I turned to my husband and said, “This is a joke, right?” So we raced downstairs and switched on the tv. It was almost 9:30 by then. We were both dumbstruck and absolutely horrified. The most I could get out of my mouth at once all that day was, “This is so unreal.”

I remember thinking "that tower's gonna fall" and of course the engineer was saying "no way is that tower going to fall". About three seconds later it crashed.
My thoughts were "OMG. Saddam Hussein. That tower's gonna fall".
Was thinking about this post when Thomas called earlier. It occurred to me that seven years ago he was getting ready to turn twelve and hadn't been diagnosed with kidney failure – yet.
