thomas news

Thomas is showing signs of renal failure. At least, he’s behaving exactly like he did before he received his diagnosis in ’02. He was sitting in class Friday having chills and tremblors, and his teacher sent him to the office, who called his Grandma Jane (who was in Connecticut at the time). A dicussion with Dr Goebel sent Thomas straight to the emergency room for blood work and put Thomas on bed rest.

His white blood cell count is still high (as is his blood pressure), and his creatinine levels have gone up.

So they’re on their weay to see Dr Goebel in Cincinnati. They’re going to do a biopsy tomorrow to make sure the donor kidney isn’t the one causing the problems.

I likely won’t have any news at all until Tuesday or later.

I’ve cross-posted this all over. If anyone knows of anywhere I’ve not posted it, please by all means post it for me? Thanks!

Appalachian gothic fiction writer - my works reflect a love of literature flavored by the darkness and magic residing in these ancient mountains. In my spare time, I'm a Simmer, I tumbl, I journal, but I always have a very strange sense of humor. I have lived away from the mountains and lived deep in the mountains. I currently live in Central Kentucky with my lifepartner and his cat. The mountains, their culture, their superstitions, their particular magics, will always be in my blood.
