thanks for dropping by

I can see by the ‘clock on the wall’ that I’ve been getting more visitor and more page views the last few weeks. F’ex, last week:

Visits
This Week …………………. 138
Page Views
This Week …………………. 248

However, I’m a bit bothered by the length of the average stay on my site. 1:53 – that’s 1 minute, 53 seconds for those of you playing the home game.

Is something wrong with my site? Isn’t it organized well enough? Is it difficult to read? Is there just not enough information here? Is the information provided unclear in some way? What do I not have that should be here? What do I have here that shouldn’t be here?

On the other hand, I’ve had a number of people ask in the last couple of weeks where they would be able to purchase copies of Midnight. My heart breaks a little every time I see that question in my inbox, usually straight from the available contact form. The four complete books in the series haven’t been published yet is the problem. I so dislike delivering that news to anybody – especially the folks who have read the information and excerpts here and wish to read the full stories.

Author: Mari Adkins

Appalachian gothic fiction writer - my works reflect a love of literature flavored by the darkness and magic residing in these ancient mountains. In my spare time, I'm a Simmer, I tumbl, I journal, but I always have a very strange sense of humor. I have lived away from the mountains and lived deep in the mountains. I currently live in Central Kentucky with my lifepartner and his cat. The mountains, their culture, their superstitions, their particular magics, will always be in my blood.
