the bitch is back

My blog was missing for over a month. And I had no idea. Thing was, I had actually been posting right along, trying to get back into the swing of regular blogging – only to find out my RSS feeds weren’t updating. I found this out when I went over to Feedburner to see if I’d ever gotten the subscribe-via-e-mail set up and working. I got to looking around the Feedburner site and saw that my lastest blog post was dated March 10th.

Crazy Feedburner say what?

So I looked at my WordPress posts page – all my posts were there. So then I looked inside the mysql database for my wp_posts, and no posts were listed after March 10th.

Huh?

Well, I enlisted the help of my webhost (@Crovean) as well as @Paisano at Twitter and we all started digging around trying to find causes and solutions.

It boiled down to this: The permalinks decided to go on walk about, and the caching plugin I was using caused the htaccess to go haywire. And a little bit of TLC and extra-tweaking here and there.

Don’t worry if you don’t know what any of this means. It’s fixed now.
