a note about my vampires …

I’ve been hammering this out for a while now, and it’s not perfect. But this is as perfect as I can get it. At least for now. If you have any suggestions, that’d rock – I always appreciate extra eyes when it comes to my writing. Is it too vague? Is anything missing? Is anything unclear?

vampiric nature — We feed upon blood for our strength. We rely on others as a source of that blood. But we are not monsters and must not easily be given to bloodlust. Due to the base root of our inherent nature, it behooves us to break free of past connotations of what we believe. With the increase of our metaphysical skills comes greater responsibility. While these skills give us the ability to hide in the shadows, they also give us the ability to affect great change.

Author: Mari Adkins

Appalachian gothic fiction writer - my works reflect a love of literature flavored by the darkness and magic residing in these ancient mountains. In my spare time, I'm a Simmer, I tumbl, I journal, but I always have a very strange sense of humor. I have lived away from the mountains and lived deep in the mountains. I currently live in Central Kentucky with my lifepartner and his cat. The mountains, their culture, their superstitions, their particular magics, will always be in my blood.
